All the playoff results and schedules, plus a story ...

I know Keith Instone spotted a mistake in the CCHA pairings in the
original AP list from earlier in the week, but I'm not sure if that was
corrected or not. Also, AP had Merrimack and Lowell playing again
Saturday. I deleted that line so that's why there are no records for
either team.

As always, any updates or corrections are welcomed.

And a story from New Hampshire ....

DURHAM, N.H. (AP) -- Four suspended New Hampshire hockey
players Friday won the right to skate in a Hockey East playoff
series against Boston College.
The four and a football player criminal charges stemming
from an off-campus brawl last month.
They were suspended, then reinstated by hockey Coach Dick
Umile, then suspended by the university. The school said letting
hem play would have been contrary to its tradition of requiring
"unquestioned integrity, sportsmanship and high moral character"
of student athletes.
The players are Thomas Nolan of Springfield, Mass.; Rob
Donovan of Boston; Mike Heinke of Southington, Conn., and Scott
Malone of Boston. Football player Mike Foley also was charged.
The suspensions would have kept the four from the home
opener of a best-of-3 first-round series of the Hockey East
playoffs Friday night.
UNH lifted the suspensions when the players' lawyer sued
for an injunction in Superior Court in Dover on Friday. The
agreement was reached before a hearing.
"On advice of legal counsel, the university will reinstate
the athletes," said Dan DiBiasio, interim vice president for
student affairs. DiBiasio cited unspecified "procedural concerns"
about the suspensions.
"It doesn't change our resolve to move forward and hold
athletes accountable for their actions. We will be fashioning a policy of procedures that will allow
us to do that in the future. I regret we couldn't do that in this case," he
said.
