Well I can't belive it... I just read in teh Bangor Daily News, that
the NC$$ has found Jeff tory to be ineligible... Now I don't have hte
article in front of me so I'll do my best...

Apparently, two years ago the University of Alaska (fairbanks?) asked
the NCAA to look at Tory's transcript, at that time the NCAA decided that
it he would be ineligible (though there is no rule on the books as to why...)
this had to do with the NCAA considering the Pass to be equal to a D. Now
last year Maine scouted Tory, and Checked his transcript (all without knowledge
of UAF's look the year before...) and seeing the Pass, asked the school what
is meant, they responded that it was equal to a C-, the NCAA would consider
a C- to be a C, so he seemed to be eligible, by everything ON THE BOOKS....
thus he came to maine.

Now the NC$$ despite having a written rule regarding international
students, has declared him to be inegligible, great....

Now what does this mean? When will Tory be eligible (after finals this
semester????) will Maine have to forfeit those games that he played in????
