Now, I don't expect Walsh to leave but UMass is offering more base salary
and "great facilities" in Walsh's words. However they are also offering
him his own hockey camp which Walsh himself said was worth $30-40,000 a
year. Effectively doubling his UMaine salary. And he also said he would
enjoy the challenge of building up a new team.
On the other hand it would be hard for him to leave if he wins the
National Championship, and probably even harder to leave if he doesn't.
