UMASS DARTMOUTH GOALIE HONORED BY ECAC NORTHEAST CONFERENCE

CAPE COD, MA– Sophomore goaltender Jeff Green (Medway, MA/Valley Jr. Warriors) of the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth’s hockey team has been honored for his performance last week.

Green has been named Eastern College Athletic Conference Northeast Goaltender of the Week. He earned that honor five times last season.

Green led the Corsairs to victories at Fitchburg State and Curry last week, stopping 63 of 66 shots in the process for a .955 save percentage. Named the ECAC Northeast Goaltender of the Year last season, Green has posted a 5-1-0 record, a 1.54 goals-against average, and a .941 save percentage so far this year. Since coming to UMass Dartmouth, Green has a career record of 37-4-1.

“Jeff was immense in the net for us last week, stopping 42 of 44 shots against Fitchburg State and 21 of 22 shots against Curry,” said UMass Dartmouth Head Coach John Rolli. “He is once again playing like the league’s top goalie, and his record throughout the season and his career speaks for itself.”

The Corsairs return to action when they visit Wesleyan Friday evening.
