CC plays overtime on Friday.
Loses to bye-holding NoDak on Saturday

Maine plays overtime on Friday.
Loses to bye-holding BC on Saturday

I've had enough with these byes. I've also had enough with the idea of
putting these games on back-to-back days.

Is the theory really that it's "better for the fans" for teams to play on
successive days? It certainly isn't better for the teams. What's wrong with
Thursday-Saturday or Friday-Sunday matchups at this stage?

If the argument is that it's too much to ask of travelling fans, then I ask
two questions:

Are that many fans really travelling such a far distance for regionals?

With the extra week now thrown in, why not have the regionals in successive
weeks rather than successive days? I'm not crazy about it, but it sure
beats this bye-game business.
