UNH freshman Eric Boguniecki will forever be remembered for one
thing in his Wildcat career - closing Snively Arena. Boguniecki put a
fitting end to the venue's storied era when he tipped Tim Murray's pass from
the left side past BC goalie Greg Taylor at 10:28 of the second overtime,
giving UNH a thrilling 6-5 victory.
UNH, which trailed 3-1 in the third, turned a two-goal deficit
into a two-goal lead with a four goal blitzkrieg in a span of 5:10.
But the Eagles got two late goals from Ryan Haggerty, who scored
earlier in the period, thus giving him a natural hat trick, to force the
extra session.
UNH (24-10-2) will face UMass-Lowell at the Garden on Friday.
