That was exactly what I thought when I first saw that note about two
weeks ago on the Troy Record poll.  It just makes that poll even less
credible, IMO.  Whether Maine forfeits the games or not, they are
still the same team and performed the same way in those wins.
Allowing the forfeits to affect the poll suggests to me that at least
some of the voters ranked teams solely on record.
 
Are the maintainers of the various ratings planning to keep the
original Maine-PC results in their database?  It would seem to make
sense, since the ratings are designed to show how a team has performed
on the ice - not in the office of an administrator or NC$$ official.
