Not specifically college-related, but if you've ever been curious 
about how ice in a hockey rink gets laid down, here's time-lapse 
video from the Washington Post showing the ice going down in Verizon 
Center in Washington for the Cap's upcoming (truncated) season:

It runs about 2 minutes.  It looks like the machine is not an ice 
resurfacing machine, but a purpose-built device with a larger tank.
