I would have to agree that BU/BC (BU always come first, always) is the top
hockey rivalry. When I was at BU in the late 70's we also considered UNH a
rival, but not with the same intensity as BC. BU defeated BC in the '78 NCAA
final, by the way, in Providence, I think. Unfortunately, BU was on spring
break; I remember watching the game, barely, on a snowy UHF PBS station.

It's too bad the BU/BC rivalry doesn't extend to other sports, but BC has
this inferiority complex that can only be assuaged by being a big-time D1
sports school.

The best college rivalry is Army/Navy. Does Navy have a club hockey team?

Oh don't be silly! :-) Best college football rivalry is Missouri v.
Kansas. The truth is, there is no best. There are rabid fans everywhere
for all sports and any time you get more than a couple of decades of teams
playing that are big names in neighboring states, suddenly that becomes the
best.....

For my money in hockey, the best in the midwest has to include UMTC v.
Wisconsin.

Tom Rowe, stuck in Division III land.

Well I read them. And there's nothing wrong with you saying that Clk-StL is
the greatest rivalry. I don't agree with it, but I hate it when squeakball
fans say that Duke-NC is the best rivalry in all of college sports. It's
rivalries that make the games so great. I'll hold up BU-BC, Clk-StL,
UMTC-Wisc, UMTC-NoDak, Mich-MichSt, UNH-ME, Harv-Corn hockey rivalries
against anyone.

BTW, the best rivalry in all of college sports is Mich-tOSU football.

How else would I know if someone is reading my posts?

Getting ready for the rematch and hoping for a similar result.
