Here's some more. The aforementioned Bill O'Neill, Jack O'Callahan,
John Fox, and Dick Lamby were all members of the aforementioned 1978
team.

Bill O'Neill's son Will is now a freshman defenseman at Maine. He
played against BU Sat night.

O'Neill's partner on the blue line when he played at BU was Bill
Leblond, who went on to marry and eventually divorce Doro Bush, sister
of George W.

Jack O'Callahan is a commodities broker in Chicago. His firm's name is
Beanpot Financial Services.
(http://www.beanpotfinancial.com/about.html) His partner at the firm is
Jack Hughes, formerly of Harvard and the second-to-last cut from the
1980 Olympic team.

O'Callahan was a cocaptain of the 1978 team along with Brian Durocher.
Durocher is now the head coach of BU's women's program.

Lamby was a member of the 1976 US Olympic team, whose teammates included
current Badger women's coach Mark Johnson and Maple Leaf coach Ron
Wilson.

Let's keep this going!

This is the most traffic on a single thread in a while... Also we could
get in the Six degrees of Jack Parker here.

The 1978 BU team had on it Bill O'Neill who is the head coach over at
Salem State College (D-III ECAC-East). SSC leading scorer, Justin
Fox's, father, John, was also a member of that team. And for you
Bowdoin fans, current Polar Bear Aaron O'Callahan's father is, yes, you
guessed it, Jack.

While we're on the BU - Salem State connection, who can forget the
contributions that All American Dick Lamby provided to both schools, and
the USA Olympic team?

Having seen the Dad's all play when I was in college makes me feel older
than I really am.
