You are correct. It wasn't mid game of the ECAC final. If I recall
correctly, it was the 2/18 game and after the game the cornell coach was
going nuts over a penalty call by an AR. The supervisor got into it after
the coach was verbally abusing the ar in the tunnel. The supe was told by
the commish that if they didn't end the argument, the police would escort
him (the supervisor) out of the building. This was classless by the coach
(not the first time for him) and classless by the commish. The coach should
have been fined and suspended. (again)

Here is the text of the CHN news alert dated 3/24

*CHN Staff Report*

ALBANY, N.Y. - ECAC Supervisor of Officials Butch Bellemore, and Brewster
Earle, the league's Director of Officiating Development, have informed the
league they will resign their positions.

ECAC commissioner Steve Hagwell declined to comment on the situation.

Contrary to Internet rumors, sources told CHN that Bellemore was not
involved in a mid-game shouting incident with Cornell coach Mike Schafer
during Saturday's ECAC final.

Take it for what it's worth
