I heard an interview with Harry Sinden today. He was talking about
possible changes to the NHL. One of the things they asked him about was
if there would be smaller pads for the goalies and he seemed pretty sure
that was going to be one of the changes. I have heard that goalie pads
are getting bigger but I don't know how it is that they get around size
restrictions.
Harry likes the idea of changing the lines but it doesn't sound like it
is in college hockey. He was saying that removing the lines would
remove off-sides.
It did irritate me when they were saying that college hockey wasn't as
good as the NHL. Obviously they don't watch college hockey. Also they
said that to have a good rivalry you need to play the team a lot. We
don't play Clarkson more than anyone else in the ECACHL and it is still
a pretty serious rivalry.
Is hockey around the corner? I miss it.
