It was a true sell-out, the stadium was full and I didn't notice anyone
leaving early. It was definitely an early season game (first regular season\for
both teams) so not the sharpest.
I was on the center redline, 28 rows up; not too bad.
My son was escort for the officials so watched most of the game from one of\the penalty boxes.

Said one complaint was the puck was hard to see - think me meant for spectators,
but not sure. They had white paint between ice layer somehow and puck didn't
contrast well from where I was, surface looked about the color of battleship
gray. He said the ice was hard, maybe too hard or at least he didn't think
they cut deep enough with the Zamboni so ice was a bit rough and puck jumped.

The spectacle waqs worth it - student section had some troubles as they
arrived late, then caused a jam at the entrance to the section.
Good day for the cities merchants with tail gaters as early a 9 am.

For an unbiased report, ask John Haeussler, my U of Michigan friend.
