The following six (6) student-athletes will join the Brown University
Men's Hockey team for their freshman season in 1999-2000:
Defensemen:
PAUL ESDALE 5'9" 165 lbs. from Edmonton, AB
and Lloydminster of the AJHL
OWEN WALTER 6'0" 190 lbs. from Prince Albert, SK and Victoria of the
BCJHL
Forwards:
KEITH KIRLEY 6'2" 200 lbs. from Leverett, MA and Deerfield Academy
TYE KORBL 5'8" 165 lbs. from Goffstown, NH and Deerfield Academy
CHRIS LEGG 6'1" 190 lbs. from London, ONT
and London of the CJHL
JASON WILSON 5'10" 185 lbs. from LaSalle, ONT and Leamington of the
CJHL
The Bears will graduate three senior forwards - Paul Giblin, Jade
Kersey and Adrian Smith.
Returning are 23 lettermen (9 seniors, 7 juniors and 7 sophomores),
including all eight defensemen and three goaltenders (Stirling, Eklund &
McNally) who saw action during the 1998-99 season.
Michael Bent '00 and Tyler Garrow '00 have been elected co-captains
of the 1999-2000 Brown hockey team.
