When did the Big 10 establish that rule? Before Penn State joined
the Big 10, exactly 5 of the 10 schools played Division I hockey
(Minn., Wisc., Mich. St., UMich, and Ohio St.). Unless something
else changed, Notre Dame in the Big 10/11/12 would mean 6 of the
12 playing D-I hockey on a varsity basis - would a seventh team
also have to start D-I hockey?
