>... Springfield on Friday night... that's not far, is it?

Actually, that's probably at least a two hour ride. Can't you all do
something besides watch hockey on Friday nite? There's ALOT of other
things to do in Boston. Bars, clubs,... Casinos in CT are only 1 1/2
hours away. How 'bout typical tourist stuff? If the weather is
right you could walk the Freedom Trail, check out Boston Common or
Public Gardens. If you like to shop (and eat) go to Quincy market
or the Prudential Center. Eat some chowdah. Go to the Museum of
Science. Bring some inline skates and skate the bike path along
the Charles River. Hang on the Esplanade. Everything worth seeing
(as a tourist) is reachable by public transportation. The T hits all
of the important places.

I'm a New Yorker who has been sentenced to live in Massachusetts, but
I find that I can tolerate the lack of R's in the language as well
as the fact that everyone around here hates New Yorkers, because
Boston is such a great TOWN to visit.

Enjoy.
