ECAC Co-Players of the week
Chris Bala (Harvard)
Freshman, Forward (Phoenixville, PA)
Tied an ECAC record with four goals in a period in a 7-6 win over Vermont.
Helped Harvard earn home ice for the playoffs with his fifth goal of the
weekend in a 4-1 victory at Dartmouth.
 
John Poapst (St. Lawrence)
Junior, Forward (Monkland, ONT)
Scored with one second left in overtime to keep the Saints' playoff hopes
alive with a 3-2 win over Cornell. Also had another goal and an assist in
the win and tallied a goal and an assist in a 5-3 win over Colgate.
 
ECAC Rookie of the week
Erik Cole (Clarkson)
Forward, (Oswego, NY)
Scored four points in a 6-1 win over Colgate as he tallied two goals and a
pair of assists. Also assisted on the game-winner in overtime to help
Clarkson to a 4-3 victory over Cornell.
 
ECAC Goalie of the week
Eric Heffler (St. Lawrence)
Junior (Williamsville, NY)
Helped St. Lawrence earn the final playoff spot with a pair of wins on the
weekend. Posted 32 saves in a 3-2 ovetime victory against Cornell and had
25 saves in a 5-3 win against Colgate.
