I'm wondering if anyone noticed the way Lake Superior played during
the last five minutes against MSU? They got a penalty, and I jumped up
and went to the fridge. When I got back to the TV they had *both* forwards
down by the offensive crease trying to jam in an insurance marker. I said
to myself, "What on earth is going on here? Did I miss an MSU penalty
while I was away??? Even so, lot's of nerve ..." Whereupon the
announcers said in a slightly awed voice, "Keep in mind that Lake Superior
is killing a penalty here!!!" Wow!
A minute and a half later, having killed off the penalty, I counted
*all three* forwards in back of the MSU net at one point. Very refreshing
and in marked contrast to the way *some* teams played last weekend. (The
names of the guilty will not be mentioned to protect future prospects --
but they should be green [and gold] with envy at the confidence of Lake
Superior.:-)

to take the hit."
