As has already been reported RPI remains undefeated with a 5-4 victory
tonight. RPI took a 4-2 lead into the third period and allowed Cornell to
get back into the game on two defensive lapses. Midway through the second
the Engineers had put on an excellent display of defensive hockey with
both Cornell scores somewhat the fault of goaltender Joel Laing. The
first Cornell goal was on the power play, which got through his five hole
although he apparently goat a piece of the puck. The second came after a
Cornell face-off win in the RPI zone, with the Cornell shooter popping the
puck over Laing's outstretched glove.
Other ECAC scores heard at the Fieldhouse:
Clarkson 2, Yale 2
St. Lawrence 3, Princeton 1
