Well, UND pulled out another win tonight by beating St. Cloud 3 to 2 in
front of 4,500 at Englested Arena (here at UND). My comments about the game:
First off, this was the worst that I have seen UND play this year. Both of
 St. Cloud's goals
came in the early part of the first period, but were a result of
power-plays. Neither team seemed to control the tempo of the game well.
Goaltending on both sides started out very shakey, but eventually things
calmed down. BTW, UND ended up outshooting St. Cloud by a 30 to 20
margin or so. All in all, I think UND is very lucky to have a win after
tonight. If the Sioux plan on ending up in the top five tonight better
be an exception and not the rule. UND seemed to play very sloppy at
times with regards to both offense and defense. St. Cloud had several
breakaways due to NoDak errors, but did not capitalize on them.
As far as where these two teams will end up is tough to say. UND
has the capability of playing in the top five in the league. The
question is will they? And ST. Cloud...well, since this was a BAD night
for UND and they still didn't win, I think they will probably end up
towards the bottom.
