1. I would appreciate if any BU fans in
boston would care to give us the fans
across the country an idea of what the
celebration were like, what the media
coverage was like (TV, newspaper, radio).
I am especially interested in the coverage
in the sunday Globe. Did we get a front page
picture or at least a sport section front
page? Is it worth the effort to get a hold
the globe?
2. I have the feeling that BU players such as
mike grier, chris o'sullivan, lachance and
thoronton and even more were overlooked
consistently during this season as far as
awards are concerned. Looking at the HE
first and second team, the NCAA tourney
team (BU 3 players and ME 3 players???) and
even the all american selection (only 1
player from BU) one has to conclude that
BU had just a good season not the memorable
season they had (nest year they will be raising
4 banners at walter brown arena. What seems
the strangest to me is the NCAA selections,
BU really dominated the tournament, winning
all their games by 4 goals. This margin does
reflect the lake state and maine game but
not the minnesota one as BU was outplayed for
the first two periods. In any case, BU deserved
more recognition then they got. I also do not
see how Tom Noble could be overlooked giving
up 4 goals in two games. ( alison gave 11 in 3
games).
3. Is this me being biased or the referees in the
title game called the penalties unevenly. They
practically put maine back in the game with
a 5x3. BU was called 8 times (to maine's 4)
4. Why is Hockey-l so silent? Do everybody
unsubscribe once their tem is out or is
BU so hated that our moment of glory is
being overlooked?
GO BU!
