Congrats to Steve on getting recalled. Hopefully he gets the minutes
he deserves! And the irony is that the Canucks play @Anaheim tomorrow.
Maybe Steve will be there, but I think that Paul is out like a week so
their won't be a brother vs. brother storyline for this game. -Jake
SYRACUSE, NY ( February 22, 2000) The Syracuse Crunch announced today
that the Vancouver Canucks have recalled center Josh Holden and left
wing Steve Kariya from Syracuse.
Holden, 22, has appeared in 32 games with the Crunch this season,
recording 14 goals 24 assists and 67 penalty minutes. He appeared in
two games with the Canucks earlier this season, recording a goal and an
assist.
Kariya, 22, appeared in 10 games while with the Crunch, recording 11
goals, five assists and 18 penalty minutes. On February 18, vs. Albany,
Kariya became the first player in Crunch history to record four goals
in a game. Kariya has played in 43 games with the Canucks this season,
recording 8 goals, 11 assists and 18 penalty minutes.
