This was a game that I had been looking forward to for over a year --
tonight the Bruins played the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim. The game featured
two former Black Bear players -- Peter Ferraro of the Bruins, and Paul
Kariya for the Ducks. Both players started the game. Dan and I both
remarked that we wished we had brought a camera to take a picture of
Ferraro and Kariya lined up against each other.

Bruins won the game 2-1; but Kariya assisted on Anaheim's only goal. Both
players were on the ice at the same time for most of the game, as Bruins
coach Pat Burns matched Ferraro's line against Kariya's. Peter did a good
job of covering Kariya. The two got into a spirited pushing match towards
the end of the game. Kariya seemed to be getting tired of Ferraro trying
to get the puck away from him.

All in all, a very enjoyable evening. We got to see a Bruins victory; and
one of our favorite players. We saw at least one Cyr bus outside the Fleet
Center.

By the way, Paul Kariya currently leads the league in scoring; he was two
points ahead of Lindros at the start of tonight's game.
