FoML will award two $1000 grants to libraries and Friends groups in
Maine at the Friends of Maine Libraries 20th Anniversary statewide
conference on Monday, October 1st, 2012 located at the Senator Inn in
Augusta. These grants will be for special projects that enhance library
service and promote stronger library-community relationships.
*All applicant organizations must be FoML members in good standing but
if they are not, they must join FoML at the time of application.
Membership dues are $25 for organizations. Applications can be found on
the FoML website at http://www.friendsofmainelibraries.org/ or the
Maine State Library website at
http://www.maine.gov/msl/libs/grants/index.shtml#FoML
Grant Application Timelines: Application deadline is September 1, 2012,
and it must be received on that date preferably by email. It also can be
mailed to Laurel T. Parker, FoML President at the address below and
received by that date. Grant award winners will be notified by September
15th. - Grant awards will be announced and presented at the FoML
conference on October 1, 2012. Winners will give a ten minute
presentation about their grants at the conference.
Friends of Maine Libraries works closely with the Maine State Library,
the Maine Library Association, and the Maine Library Trustees
Association to promote cooperation and communication across many levels
in the library community.
