I am hoping there may be some awesome librarians here lurking... please share with innovative libraries looking for a new opportunity.
Teacher Librarian K-5 - South Portland, Maine
The South Portland School Department has one opening shared between two K-5 schools. We are looking for modern Teacher Librarian who is tech savvy and interested in working in a collaborative environment to further our vision of a Learning Commons model.
Join a strong and innovative Library Department with an evolving vision for 21st Century Libraries. All Library Information Integrators in the district work closely with technology staff and classroom teachers to provide rigorous K-12 Information Literacy instruction that is integrated into the curriculum. As part of the Learning Commons Model, we support teachers in the integration of technology into their work by providing staff development and in-classroom support along with our technology integration staff. All schools operate in a technology rich environments where innovative ideas are encouraged. Equally important, is providing comprehensive library services and cultivating the love of reading and inquiry in all their forms through innovative programming.
