I just got an email notification that the my ticket application that I submitted on-line has been accepted.  

Here is my favorite part of the email:
>Please keep in mind that those individuals
purchasing >tickets on or after April 18 through the Ford Field box >office or Ticketmaster
will receive their tickets and seat >assignments immediately.  By applying
for tickets through >the online application process, you will receive a
>commemorative ticket(s) and your seat assignment(s) in >March 2010.  


So the money about the $40/set that they are selling tickets for now is to pay for those "commemorative tickets."
