RPI wears non-white at home two days a year - 'Black Friday' early in 
the season, when they auction off their (black) jerseys after the 
game, and the Big Red Freakout in February, when they wear their road red.

Black is not one of RPI's colors, so there's nothing (other than good 
taste) preventing your beloved Big Red from adopting another color 
for a third uniform.
