Mine was a good letter for this and, I suppose, next year, but as has
been mentioned previously, the letter is not all good news, IMHO.   The
NCAA appears to be on the verge of messing up their formula for
every-year fan success. :-(

If the NCAA screws up the go-every-year college hockey fan, perhaps we
should demand they cut back their 8,000+  non-fan reservation?  I'm
steamed every time I see the hundreds of empty center ice seats.  Last
year I was really appalled.  An NCAA acquaintance of mine had something
come up and s/he couldn't go to Boston.  Knowing lots of fans that
wanted to go, I asked if I could find someone for the tickets.  S/he
replied that a fan might look out of place in that section, so s/he'd
better not.  When I asked if s/he would turn them in, s/he said no,
because s/he might not get the tickets another year.  I was speechless.

Does "every-year fan success" require fans that go to the Frozen Four
every year?

Is the traveling fan base large enough so that the current system is unfair?

What is fair and unfair?

Is the NCAA looking at this area because it is unfair?

(I'll take a stab at this one: Highly unlikely.  More likely, it is a
way to make more money from the every-year fan).
