I heard the word "galvanized" rubber. Maybe, he meant "vulcanized". Perhaps,
the word "galvanized" represents a trade name, a new component, a process,
which belongs to that brand like: Bauer's "fasteel" blade on their Bauer Air
50s, or "Aqui-line" lining on CCM's 452 Goal Tack skates with "Protectall"
goal shell. I'll double check next time I have a conversation with someone
from Bauer.
For sure, the "steel belted radial" rubber is out of the puck. Also, the Bauer
puck is made in the Czech Republic.
There is documentation from CSA on their certified "steel free" puck. When I
get curious enough, all I have to do is request the specifications by shelling
over $28.00.
