yes, of course that's possible. It's also possible for the badgers to
finish 3rd and play the gophers. If the Minnesota loses both games to St
Cloud and Denver wins both, the gophers would be in 8th place *gasp*.
If the gophers and Denver tie in points I don't recall the tie breakers to
determine who is placed higher. The teams split their only series and the
goals were 5-2, 2-5 (7-7).
