As befits Michigan and UNH sporting the No. 1 and 2 offenses in Div1
(excepting Niagara), the Wildcat offense has put up some some gaudy
numbers as well:
Player YR GP G A PTS
----------------------------------------
FORWARD
Jason Krog SO 32 19 36 55
Mark Mowers JR 32 22 28 50
Eric Boguniecki SR 30 20 29 49
Eric Nickulas JR 32 25 20 45
Tom Nolan SR 25 21 21 42
Derek Bekar SO 32 16 18 34
DEFENSE
Tim Murray SR 30 0 31 31
Jason Krog can hopefully pop in at least another goal before the season
is out, boosting UNH's compliment of 20-goal scorers to 5, with Derek
Bekar having an outside shot at joining the club as well. 7 players with
at least 30 points spreads out the scoring just as at Michigan, but, un-
like the Wolverines who lose 5/7 of that offense to graduation, UNH ex-
pects to lose only 2/7 of its scoring punch, as SR Tom Nolan has a red-
shirt year remaining ....
As for HE scoring, other than Chris Drury, BU's better than GAG go-to-
guy, the UNH offense clogs up much of the top scoring slots:
Hockey East League Scoring Leaders:
Conference Overall
Name, Team GP G A PTS || GP G A PTS
========================================
1 Chris Drury, BU 20 27 12 39 || 30 35 18 53
2 Jason Krog, UNH 21 10 26 36 || 31 19 35 54
3 Mark Mowers, UNH 21 14 21 35 || 31 22 28 50
4 Eric Nickulas, UNH 20 19 14 33 || 31 25 20 45
5 Eric Boguniecki, UNH 20 12 20 32 || 30 20 29 49
6 Neil Donovan, UML 21 11 20 31 || 31 14 27 41
7 Tom Nolan, UNH 15 16 12 28 || 24 20 21 41
All these numbers won't mean much, of course, unless UNH makes a respec-
table NC$$ showing, but hopefully they've got the horses to make that happen.
Cheers from Solomons - Jim
