The Hockey East Player of the Week is Maine's Jim Montgomery, who had
something like 4-2--6 in two games against BU. The Rookie of the Week is
Providence's Craig Darby. PotW must have been difficult to pick since by
my count there were 3-4 players who each had six points on the week.
Merrimack's Agostino Casale, leading scorer in the league, is the top goal
scorer in the country (11) and fourth-leading point-getter (22).
Former Harvard player Tod Hartje, who played last season in the USSR and is
now with Moncton of the AHL, has written a book about his experiences playing
hockey and living in the USSR. The book is supposed to be out in February
or March of 1992.
