As the 1994 NCAA seeds came out on Sunday, I noticed a conflict in the
records reported over Hockey-l and the record given by the Troy Record's
Final Standing. The Terriers, according to many writing in, say that BU
is the No. 1 seed in the East with a record of 30-7-1. According to the TR,
Maine's forfeit of many of their games took off one win and their only tie,
giving the Icedogs 2 wins due to forfeit. This brings their record, after
their HE championship victory Saturday Night, to 32-6-0. BU was 2-1-1 vs.
the Black Bears. The loss and the tie came with Tardif on the ice at a time
when he was ineligible to play. Through forfeit, BU is 4-0 vs. Maine this
season.
Thanx,
Jeff Lortie
P.S. Here's hoping that BU lives up to their No. 1 ranking in the NCAA's.
