CCHA Play-off Picture, 2nd through 6th

  Team Games Points Games left
2 Michigan State 26 34 @ND, FS, @FS, WM
3 Lake Superior 26 32 IC, IC, @Kent, @Kent
4 Western Michigan 26 32 @BG, @OS, @MS, IC
5 Bowling Green 25 30 WM, Kent, @Mia, Mich, @ND
6 Miami 25 27 Mich, Mich, BG, @OS, OS
7 Ferris State 26 21 @MS, ND, MS, @Mich

Michigan State (today: 2nd; highest: 2nd; lowest: 6th)
 Wins tiebreaker with: BG
Loses tiebreaker with: LS, WM, Mia
Needs 4 pts vs Miami to finish 5th or better; needs 6 pts vs BG to finish
  ahead of the Falcons.
Currently 0-1 vs Ferris and the Bulldogs have a history of playing the
  Spartans tough. 0-2 vs Western.

Lake Superior (today: 3rd; highest: 2nd; lowest: 6th)
Wins tiebreaker with: MS (on goals), WM (by 1 goal), Mia
 Loses tiebreaker with: BG
Needs 5 pts vs Miami to finish 5th or better.
Has the easiest schedule left, playing #8 IC and #11 Kent. If LSSU
wins its last four games, it will finish 2nd or 3rd *unless* BG wins
its last 5 and MSU gets 7 out its last 8 points. So, basically, the
Soo really has to choke to finish lower than third.

Western Michigan (today: 4th; highest: 2nd; lowest: 6th)
 Wins tiebreaker with: MS
Loses tiebreaker with: LS (goals), Mia
WMU is tied with BG at 1-1, but BG is ahead on goals, 10-7. So if BG
wins or ties the third game, the Falcons will take the tiebreaker with
  the Broncos.
Pretty tough schedule, with 3/4 on the road and games with MSU, BGSU
and the two hottest teams in the lower half, IC and OS.
Needs 6 pts vs Miami to finish 5th or better.

Bowling Green (today: 5th; highest: 2nd; lowest: 6th)
 Wins tiebreaker with: LS, Mia
 Loses tiebreaker with: MS
Has 1 game in hand with those above it, that being a Tuesday night game
  at Miami.
Has home ice locked up, as do all of the teams above it in the standings.
Needs 7 pts vs Miami to finish 5th or better. If BG sweeps WM/Kent and
Michigan sweeps Miami, then BG would have 5th locked up before it met
  the Redksins again.
If BG beats WMU Friday, it would be tied with the Broncos on points for
4th (winning the tiebreaker) and have a game in hand.
Can finish in 3rd without anyone's help if they win their last 5.

Miami (today: 6th; highest: 2nd; lowest: 7th)
 Wins tiebreaker with: MS, WM
Loses tiebreaker with: LS, BG, FS
Needs 3 points vs Ferris to get home ice. With Ferris playing MSU
twice and Michigan once, this looks likely.
Needs help to move up in the standings. Realistically, will have to get
a win against Michigan to maintain a good chance of moving up.
If BG loses its last 5, Miami can pull into 5th with only its win over
BG and a single win against Ohio State.
