Of course, I can't let this go by. Ohio State won it. They beat Colgate 6-5
in OT and then followed that with one of their three quality wins of the season
beating Clarkson 4-3. (Consolation to the Clarkson fans is that OSU did at
least pound LSSU later in the season, making their loss look a little more
respectable.) Colgate clobbered Army in the third place game. Now OSU has two
banners in the Ice Rink, the 1971-72 CCHA title and the Syracuse Invitational's
cheesy plastic banner.
