I do believe there is place and a TIME for fighting. The NCAA could place
stringent rules to avoid any "goons" from playing in the leagues, and being
the agressor.

I DO NOT think that all out fighting is an option. For those of you who
have played you will know exactly what I mean. There is a different
mentality that all players take when there is a remote chance that they may
have to fight as a result of their actions. The player who runs players
from behind into the boards, will at least think in the back of their mind,
"If I hit this guy, I may have another here to answer to."

For those of you who have not played, you cannot understand what I have
said above. I am not saying that you are not knowledgeable fans, or
supporters, but like all things, unless you have experienced it, it's
sometimes hard to relate to.
If I have offended someone, I truly apologize, for this was not my intent.

My statement is to say that fighting in hockey has a PURPOSE. It would be
up to the officials and the NCAA to realize this, and handle it
accordingly. To simply go out and say fighting is now legal would be a huge
mistake.

My answer, strangly but obviously, is yes. There is NO FIGHTING now, so a
little bit might be a good idea. Fighting specialists are never going to
take
a roster spot, so a good punch in the mouth might keep some of the bullies
in
line since they would not get away with the cheap stuff they do now. Now,
please, nobody ask who I think the cheap teams are.
