or 4)  A referee who has a personal vendetta against calling penalties.
Last weekend's series between Minnesota and Alaska-Anchorage saw 5
penalties total in the 2 games.  While it was by no means a rough series,
the only penalties called were when players were at risk of injury.  While
I do not think referees should nitpick, there certainly could've been
significantly more penalties called in the particular series in which I was
in attendance.  It felt like the referee (Goddard) was in a hurry to get
home.
