I guess we're not goons anymore, I'm trying to figure out if maybe we'd
have a better chance winning if we were goons.  Since starting school
here in the Fall of '92, UIC has only deafeated Michigan twice.
 
January 1993: rallying from a <memory pressing here> 2-0 deficit to come
back and score the go ahead in the last minutes of the third, plus an
empty netter, winning 4-2 at the Pavilion.
 
Both games played at Seven Bridges (suburban Chicago ice rink) last year
between UIC and UM were close.  Friday, 02/10/95: UM scored the winning
goal with a minute or so left in the third after UIC rallied to tie just
minutes earlier.  The following night, UIC knotted up the score once again late
in the third, this time going to OT, with us winning for a change.  A
huge brawl following the game winning goal.
 
We'll see what happens tonight, probably more of the same.  It's very
hard for the team here to get support like Michigan and Michigan State
do.  Once in a while the Pavilion attendace will reach four or five
thousand, still way short of the 8,802 hockey capacity.  (I bet you
can't guess which teams are in town for those days ;) )  Even if UIC was
in the top half of the CCHA, I doubt the attendance would change all that
much.
 
At least we're not as bad as Kent State was, or are we?  Be happy you
have winning, high calibre teams up on the other side of Lake Michigan.
 
Oh, and no clue about Rob Hutson.  Sorry.
