SEVENTH ANNUAL BAUER CCHA ALL-ROOKIE TEAM ANNOUNCED

The 1994-95 Bauer Central Collegiate Hockey Association All-Rookie Team, as
selected by the CCHA head coaches, has representatives from four schools. The
Bauer CCHA All-Rookie Team will be honored during the CCHA Awards Banquet on
Friday, March 17 in the Columbus Grand Ballroom at the Westin Hotel in Detroit.

Forward Bill Muckalt (Williams Lake, British Columbia) of the University of
Michigan was a unanimous selection to this year's all-rookie team. He leads
all freshmen in overall scoring (35 points) and goals (18) and also in league
play with 13 goals and 29 points. Muckalt has four power play goals and one
hat trick (at Ferris State), while his five game-winners are tied-for-first
among all CCHA skaters. He had a point in 20 of 27 league contests and
finished the regular season with a plus/minus rating of +17 (+14 in league
play).

Robb Gordon (Surrey, British Columbia), a forward for the University of
Michigan, is the second leading rookie scorer in the CCHA this year tallying 13
goals and adding 20 assists for 33 points. Among his 13 goals are five power
play markers and one game-winning goal. He leads all freshmen forwards with
his 20 assists. His 26 points in league play rank him second behind Muckalt,
while his 15 assists place him third among all rookie scorers. He was only
minus (plus/minus) in four of 27 conference games played and finished the
regular season with a plus/minus rating of +19 (+14 in league play).

Forward Jason Blake (Audubon, Minnesota) represents Ferris State University.
Blake is fourth on the Bulldog squad in scoring with 15 goals and 14 assists
for 29 points. He is third among all rookie forwards in both overall and
league scoring (11-11--22) . He has a team-leading three shorthanded goals and
five game-winning goals. This marks the second straight year a Bulldog
freshman has been named to the all-rookie team.

Western Michigan University defenseman Steve Duke (Williamsville, New York), a
unanimous selection to this year's all-rookie team, is the highest scoring
rookie blueliner in the CCHA with nine goals and 22 assists for 31 points
overall, and four goals and 20 assists for 24 points in league competition. In
37 games for the Broncos, he has one power play goal and a game-winning goal,
which came in overtime against Lake Superior.

Dan Boyle (Ottawa, Ontario), a defenseman from Miami University, is the second-
highest scoring freshman defenseman with eight goals and 17 assists for 25
points overall, along with five goals and 14 assists for 19 points in CCHA
play. His three game-winning goals overall is tied-for-third among all
rookies. Despite missing four games due to an injury, Boyle is the highest
scoring defenseman on Miami's squad.

The selection of Marty Turco (Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario), a goaltender from the
University of Michigan, marks the first time a Wolverine goaltender has been
selected to the Bauer CCHA All-Rookie Team. Turco has appeared in 30 games
overall compiling a 22-5-1 record with a 2.94 goals-against average and a .890
saves percentage. He shared two shutouts this season with teammate Al Loges.
His 24 wins are second in the country behind Maine's Blair Allison (who has
28), while his goals-against average ranks in the top ten nationally.

Receiving honorable mention all-rookie team honors are (alphabetically): Jon
Battaglia (Lake Superior), Sean Berens (Michigan State), Jeff Blashill (Ferris
State), Dale Crombeen (Bowling Green), John Grahame (Lake Superior), Richard
Keyes (Michigan State), Adam Lamarre (Bowling Green), Ted Laviolette (Lake
