HOLY CROSS BEATS MAINE!!!

Well, actually, Holy Cross beats UMass-Amherst, 3-2, in OT, and we all know
what UMass did to Maine a couple of days ago ....

Tuesday, January 31, 1995 at Hart Center, Worcester, MA

UMASS-AMHERST (Hockey East) 1 1 0 0 - 2 5-18-2 (3-12-0 HE)
HOLY CROSS (ECAC East) 0 1 1 1 - 3 11-6-0 (7-4-0 ECAC East)

1st - UMA1 Warren Norris 9 (Jacques) 3:28

2nd - HC1 Heath Moran 3 (Belanger) PPG 3:32
      UMA2 Brian Corcoran 1 (Norton, Campanale) 6:49

3rd - HC2 Terrance Butts 16 (Moran) 19:07

OT - HC3 Jim Jensen 10 (Butts) 2:45

Goalies: HC Kevin Broderick (no save stats given)
         UMA Dave Kilduff
Attendance - Approx. 500
All stats from AM950 radio broadcast, I apologize for errors/misspellings.

Holy Cross catches UMass-Amherst overlooking an opponent just like Maine
did with UMA, and hangs around long enough to get into overtime on a last
minute 3rd period goal. Hard work pays off when they steal the puck in
the corner in OT, feed out front, and get the game winner.

Brian Corcoran is the defenseman who is also an all-star player on
UMass's football team.

UMA has gone 1-2-1 in their last 4, tying Bowdoin, splitting with Maine,
and now losing to Holy Cross. (I hope my memory has this right.)
