A couple of readers have mentioned the advertisement in The Hockey News
that contains a picture of two West Virginia hockey players. Now, I
know that WVU is a club team and thus is not governed by NC$$ rules.
What I am wondering about is if this would have been legal if the
players were from an NC$$ team. Can athletes appear in advertisements,
even if they do not receive any money? I suspect not. If hockey cards
were ruled illegal last year, then certainly advertisements are also.

Only 9 days until I get to see Clarkson beat RPI again.
