I just noticed in the paper that Hershey acquired goalie Les Kuntar
(formerly of SLU I believe). If memory serves me correctly (and it
sometimes does not!) don't they have Neil Little and Aaron Israel, or at
least Little.

Early on in the college season, people were reporting how these players
were doing in the minors. Any updates? In particular, Little got off to a
poor start, and I think Israel was doing fine. Also people like Xavier
Majic from RPI are of interest to me. I believe he signed with the
Canadien organization.

What triggered all this was the IHL all-star game (from Las Vegas!) on
PRIME last nite (if you could call it a hockey game, I turned it off at
halftime when the score was 7-6) and I noticed Tony Hrkac playing.
Anybody comment on why he hasn't made it to the big show yet? I know
there are a lot of players who probably make a career of the minors and
are happy, but I thought he had enough talent to make it to the NHL. I
know the IHL views itself as a rival to the NHL rather than a minor but ....

On that topic, it seems the SF Spiders are ready to start as a new
franchise in the IHL! So in the future, visiting SF will not only include
a cable car ride, but presumably a chance to watch hockey without driving
all the way to San Jose.
