I felt sorry that the Flames lost this one--they deserved at least
a point. BG slept thru the first 30 minutes. UIC had a 4-1 lead,
blew it to be down 5-4 in the third, came right back to go ahead,
only to give up the tying goal late in the game and the loser in
OT. Hall is listed on the official score sheet, but Pronger might
have tipped in the GWG.
The penalty shot was because a Flame covered the puck in the crease.
It was a dumb play. If the goalie was aware of what was happening,
he could have easily covered the puck, but he was clueless. Both
netminders were somewhere else, as you can see from the saves.
Holzinger with the hat trick. Good showing most of the way around
for UIC. Better luck tomorrow versus the Spartans....
