Northern Michigan's 1990-91 team was unbeaten in its last 26 games (24-0-2),
including the season-ending title game win over BU.  The Wildcats then went
2-0-1 to start the 1991-92 season before losing at Minnesota-Duluth on Oct. 26.
I was with those teams as SID and needless to say it was a fun run.  I recall
sitting on the bus after the defeat at Duluth, thinking how strange it felt to
be on the losing end of the score.  I guess that much winning gives you those
skewed sorts of feelings.
