The University of Maine Black Bears scored three unanswered goals
in the third period to beat the Merrimack Warriors 5-2 in Hockey
East action Friday night at Merrimack's Volpe Complex.

From what I heard on the radio, Maine didn't play well, but Merr-
imack played its best hockey.

Paul Kariya went to the penalty box for the second week in a row,
for slashing. (What's gotten into that boy?)

Maine 2 0 3 - 5
Merrimack 1 1 0 - 2

And off to the side, Northeastern stunned Boston University at
Northeastern by overcoming a 4-2 deficit to beat BU 5-4.
