Sorry, no offense intended. I guess I just hold the Gophers up to fairly
high standards and, as I recall, they are around .500 - a sub-par year
so far for them. I certainly hope they do well and I have seen them play
a few times this year on TV. From the CHCR I see that they are ranked
22nd (I think) and they are pretty middle of the pack in other rating
systems as well. I really don't have too much else to go on, but it's
still not their best year. Also, didn't someone just post recently that
a lot of Gopher fans were upset by their season so far?

This is exactly what I'm asking about. Do you have any ideas why that
is? Are the Gophers better at PR than the No. Stars? Is it because the
arena is smaller (doubt it, since the Gophers fill up the Met once/twice
a year)? Is it because the Gophers are better? Does everyone hate Norm
Green? something else?

I know there are also college teams in Boston, Chicago, Detroit, etc.
and the NHL teams there have no problems drawing fans. Of course, the
cities are much bigger, too.

Sorry to offend anyone, it was not intended.
