Union has opened the ECACHL season 5-0 -- their best start ever in [Division
I] League play.

In fact, the five straight wins ties the School Record for most consecutive
wins in ECAC-Division I play. Union previously won five straight between
January 18 and February 1, 2003.

A win at Yale tonight would break that record as well as tie the school
record for consecutive wins overall. The record is six, set between December 21,
1996 and January 10, 1997. Yale, who lost 5-2 to RPI on Friday, is off to
an 0-7 start [their worst since opening 0-11 in 1987-88].

{all Union from the online record book, compiled by Ken Schott of the Daily
[Schenectady] Gazette.}
