More than half of the Div 1 college hockey players are from
Minnesota?  Clearly more than half of the players on UMinn are
from Minnesota, but I am pretty sure that when I saw UMD play in
December they were only about 1/2 from Minnesota.  Considering
that very few eastern players are from Minnesota, (RPI has
currently only one), the percentage has to be much less than
50%.  I would guess that there are in total more players from
Massachusetts than any other state, but certainly not nearly
50% from any state averaged over all Div I.
