Epilogue: Regards,

You should realize that Army is not a team that will outskate you, heck some
prep teams probably have more talent. But, after watching Army hockey for many
years, their game of discipline and endurance can frustrate any team on any
given night.

Am I saying that Army is better than Cornell, or anyone else for that matter.
NO. The point is that Army is not your typical bad team that lacks in talent
and desire. The Army players put more into their hockey than any team I saw at
Clarkson in my four years there.

The proof is in the record that their hard work pays off. In the past few
years, Army has enjoyed success at many of the ECAC's and HEA's lower eschelon
teams' expense. Army has had victories or ties over Yale, Princeton, Cornell,
RPI, Merrimack, NE, Union, Colgate, and Minnesota-Duluth. This all coming from
a team that shouldn't even compete with the D-I teams.

The fact that Cornell skated around Army doesn't mean a thing. The fact is
that one goal got past each goaltender. In my book, that goes down as a tie.
Those same people that were gloating about Cornell's tie at Michigan seem to
need to look for excuses for the tie against Army. The Black Knights showed
Cornell what many around the country refuse to see with the military academy
sports teams...they are not the New York Jets, like some carpet that every
other team walks over.

For all of you Cornell fans...GET OVER IT! If Michigan goes on to win the
national championship, you can say that your team tied the National Champions.
People may remember that game, but the tie against Army will go by the
wayside. Clarkson tied Maine in 1992-93 when they went 39-1-2. I still
remember that game well, but do you think I remember which teams they lost to
that they shouldn't have.
