This is all very true, but the crowd (read: students) *do* get
excited when the sieve HITS the goalie....
 
 
I have never seen anything thrown onto the ice before, but I have heard
stories about dead badgers and gophers thrown on the ice  (I guess by ND
fans, that's North Dakota not Notre Dame).  Now, sieves???  I don't agree
with things being thrown on the ice at all (except possibly for hats at the
correct moment).  Isn't this viewed as dangerous to the players?  These
"fans" should be thrown out.
